The new service includes special fares and expands connections to major Japanese cities.

Air Premia is expanding its international offerings with the highly anticipated launch of a new route connecting Cheongju, South Korea, to Fukuoka, Japan, set to commence on May 2, 2025. This new addition marks a strategic move to enhance connectivity between Cheongju International Airport and major cities in Japan, following the introduction of existing routes to Osaka, Narita, Sapporo, and Nagoya.

The new Cheongju-Fukuoka route will operate five times a week, increasing to seven times a week starting May 15, 2025. Flights are scheduled to depart from Cheongju International Airport at 6:35 AM, ensuring an arrival at Fukuoka International Airport by 7:45 AM. The return leg will see flights leave Fukuoka at 8:30 AM and arrive back in Cheongju by 10:00 AM, making it an efficient travel option for daily commuters and leisure passengers alike.

Alongside the launch of this route, Air Premia is celebrating with a promotional airfare event that provides discounted ticket prices. Beginning at only 49,800 won for one-way flights, this promotion excludes checked baggage and airport taxes. The limited-time offer runs from 11 AM on March 20 to March 24, 2025, on a first-come, first-served basis, with travel available from May 2 to October 25, 2025. With such competitive pricing, consumers are encouraged to take advantage of the introductory fares.

Air Premia, which operates as a base airline at Cheongju International Airport, has expressed optimism regarding the convenience this new route will provide for travelers in the central region of South Korea. The airline stated, “The Cheongju-Fukuoka route is expected to provide convenient travel opportunities for Cheongju Airport users as it takes about 1 hour to travel.” This connection makes it easier than ever to access Fukuoka, a key destination known for its vibrant culture and economic significance.

In a broader context, this route marks Air Premia’s fifth regular Japanese route from Cheongju, further enhancing its network across Japan. The airline officials are also contemplating additional destinations, including routes to Ibaraki, Obihiro, Hiroshima in Japan, as well as Jinan and Qingdao in China. Such expansion not only aligns with Air Premia’s growth strategy but also adds more choices for consumers looking to travel within Asia.

The promotional fare event coinciding with the route launch also applies to other international destinations. Bookings made will receive a 20% discount on ticket prices across all international routes during a stipulated period from April 1 to October 25, 2025. Routes eligible for this promotion from Cheongju include Nagoya, Osaka, Ibaraki, Sapporo, and Narita, while Incheon’s routes include Osaka and Narita.

Expected to foster greater tourism and economic ties between the two regions, the Cheongju-Fukuoka route serves as a reliable option for both business and leisure travelers. The strategic launch demonstrates Air Premia’s commitment to enhancing travel options and supporting the connectivity ambitions of Cheongju International Airport. The promotional offers highlight Air Premia’s dedication to providing valuable travel solutions to its customers.

As part of their future plans, Air Premia aims to introduce further routes to various destinations in Japan and China based on the demand from travelers. This adaptability to shifting consumer preferences reflects the airline's desire to continue its growth trajectory while bolstering economic ties with neighboring countries.

In conclusion, Air Premia's new Cheongju-Fukuoka route marks an important milestone for the airline and the region, promising to foster enhanced travel experiences for a broad array of passengers.
