Aimee Lou Wood And Patrick Schwarzenegger Shine At Met Gala

The White Lotus co-stars reunite on the red carpet, showcasing their fashion and confidence after a record-breaking season.

Aimee Lou Wood and Patrick Schwarzenegger enjoyed a White Lotus reunion at the Met Gala on May 6, 2025, with the season 3 co-stars posing for photos together on the red carpet. Wood made her Met Gala debut in a striking black suit and matching train, accentuating her look with Cartier jewelry, custom Bombas socks, HUE tights, and Manolo Blahnik shoes. Meanwhile, Schwarzenegger, who has attended the gala multiple times before, opted for a navy and yellow Balmain spin on a zoot suit.

Their appearance comes after Mike White’s hit show dominated cultural conversations throughout the spring. HBO reported that the finale episode, aired on April 6, broke viewership records for the series. The filming experience was transformative for the cast, with Wood sharing in an exclusive interview with ELLE that she is not the same person as she was before joining the show. "I had a lot of reckonings out there. I realized how important my anchors are in life," she stated.

Wood noted that portraying the carefree and confident character Chelsea helped her become more comfortable in her own body. "As Chelsea, I cannot be thinking about how I look. She does not give a shite about how she looks. She is not an insecure person about her body," Wood explained. "So I was like, I have to feel confident. If I don’t feel confident and I look like I’m being apologetic for my body, then it won’t work." This newfound confidence was on full display at the Met Gala, marking the first of what many hope will be numerous public appearances for Wood, Schwarzenegger, and their co-stars.

Patrick Schwarzenegger, fresh off his starry turn in The White Lotus, was also at the Met Gala, sporting Balmain and accessorizing with an Omega watch. He was joined by his co-star Aimee Lou Wood, who wore Alawalluh and Cartier for the evening. Notably, Schwarzenegger's fiancée, Abby Champion, was not in attendance.

Schwarzenegger has a history with the Met Gala, having attended twice before. In 2022, he wore Lanvin paired with an Esenshel hat, and in 2019, he donned a head-to-toe Ralph Lauren ensemble, both times featuring a cowboy hat. This year, he opted for a more tailored look, showcasing his evolution in fashion.

In a twist of family dynamics, Patrick's cousin, Jack Schlossberg, recently made headlines by calling for a boycott of the Met Gala. "Hey Anna Wintour! I am boycotting the Met Gala this year. With so much happening at home and around the world, it’s not the time for a party like that—at least for me. So I am boycotting the Met Gala this year. I will not be going to the Met Gala. Thank you all so much," Schlossberg stated. This boycott comes despite his previous role as a political correspondent for Vogue during the last election.

Schlossberg, who is the grandson of President John F. Kennedy, criticized Patrick Schwarzenegger for not taking a stand against Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s recent appointment as Secretary of Health and Human Services. He expressed his concerns through a series of pointed questions on social media, asking, "Since you’ve used President Kennedy’s NIL (as well as my grandmother’s) for a promo for your new show — as a member of the Kennedy family — where do you stand on RFKjr’s nomination to lead the department of HHS?" He further questioned Patrick on various health care issues, illustrating the tension between family loyalty and public accountability.

Despite the family rift, the Met Gala served as a platform for both Wood and Schwarzenegger to shine. Their presence at the event not only highlighted their individual achievements but also brought attention back to the success of The White Lotus, which has captivated audiences and critics alike. As the evening unfolded, it became clear that both stars are poised for a bright future in the entertainment industry, with their recent experiences shaping their professional and personal identities.

As for the Met Gala itself, it remains a focal point of celebrity culture, often sparking discussions about fashion, art, and social issues. The juxtaposition of glamour and the call for social awareness, as demonstrated by Schlossberg's boycott, reflects the complexities of modern celebrity events. In a world where the lines between entertainment and activism are increasingly blurred, the Met Gala continues to be a stage where both can coexist, albeit sometimes contentiously.

Looking ahead, fans of The White Lotus can expect to see more from Wood and Schwarzenegger as they navigate their careers post-show. With the finale's record-breaking viewership, the anticipation for future projects is palpable. As they embrace their newfound confidence and public personas, both stars are likely to continue making waves in the industry.
