Over 3 lakh students await results as exam period concludes

The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) is gearing up to announce the Class 12 (HS Final) results for 2025, with expectations set for early May. This announcement follows the trend from the previous year, when results were released on May 9. The exam period for this year stretched from February 13 to March 17, encompassing a total of over 3 lakh students who participated across 856 examination centers.

Students who took the exams will be able to access their results through several official websites, including ahsec.assam.gov.in, resultsassam.nic.in, and sebaonline.org. To check their scores, students will need to enter their roll number and registration number. Furthermore, results can also be obtained via SMS by typing "ASSAM12 Roll Number" and sending it to 56263.

This year's exams saw a significant number of candidates, with 230,091 students enrolled in the Arts stream, 57,724 in Science, 17,869 in Commerce, and 1,241 in Vocational Education. Notably, female students comprised a larger portion of the test-takers, with 162,423 girls compared to 144,502 boys.

The practical exams were conducted from January 29 to February 10, 2025, allowing students to showcase their hands-on skills in various subjects. The results will detail each student's performance, including marks obtained in theory and practical exams, which will be essential for future college admissions and career planning.

As the educational landscape in Assam continues to evolve, timely results from the AHSEC are crucial for students. The council has emphasized the importance of accessing results through official channels to ensure accuracy and reliability. Students are advised to prepare for the next steps in their educational journey as they await their scores.

In 2024, the AHSEC Class 12 results were declared on May 9, with an overall pass percentage of 88.64%. This was a notable increase from 84.96% in 2023. The performance breakdown indicated that 90.29% of students in the Science stream passed, while Arts and Commerce recorded pass rates of 88.24% and 88.28%, respectively. A total of 273,908 students appeared for the exams last year, with girls outperforming boys in every stream.

Students are encouraged to stay updated through the official AHSEC website and other reliable sources for the latest information regarding their results. The anticipation surrounding the results is palpable, as students and parents alike await the outcome of months of hard work and dedication.

For those who may experience difficulties accessing the official websites during the result announcement, alternative methods are available to ensure that every student can obtain their scores promptly. The AHSEC has made provisions for students to receive their results via SMS, which can be particularly helpful in cases of high online traffic.

As the date approaches, the excitement among students is growing. Many are reflecting on their preparation and hoping for favorable results that will pave the way for their higher education aspirations. The upcoming announcement is not just a formality; it represents the culmination of years of effort and commitment to their studies.

In conclusion, the AHSEC's commitment to timely results reflects a broader dedication to educational excellence in Assam. As the state continues to prioritize academic achievement, students are reminded to utilize official resources to stay informed. The results will play a significant role in shaping their educational paths and future opportunities.
