Agenzia Delle Entrate Updates Services For Easier Citizen Access

The latest guide simplifies fiscal procedures, enabling online requests for newborn IDs and health card duplicates.

The Agenzia delle Entrate has launched an updated guide titled "I Servizi dell'Agenzia delle Entrate" as of March 26, 2025, now available on its website. This revision comes as part of the agency's ongoing commitment to improving the interaction between citizens and the tax system, specifically enhancing how people handle their bureaucratic and fiscal obligations.

The new guide highlights several digital services designed to provide greater accessibility in managing tax and health-related documentation. Notably, new parents can take advantage of a significant update in the guide. They can now request the codice fiscale, an essential tax identification number, for their newborns online. This service aims to eliminate the need for physical visits to Agenzia offices, making the process more convenient for families.

To utilize this new feature, parents or their representatives must log into their personalized area on the Agenzia website using SPID credentials, or alternatively, CIE (electronic identity card) or CNS (national service card). Once logged in, they need to provide the newborn's personal details along with the birth certificate. This change is a part of the agency's broader efforts to streamline services and make bureaucratic tasks easier.

Another noteworthy feature introduced in the guide is the online process for requesting a duplicate of the tessera sanitaria, which can be required due to loss, theft, damage, or not receiving it in the first place. Citizens can now quickly access their digital profile to view and print a copy of their last active health card. Furthermore, they can request the re-issuance of a plastic card through their online account, streamline their requests and avoid in-person visits.

For those who may not have the necessary login credentials to access their reserved area, the guide provides alternative options. Individuals can submit a request for a new tessera sanitaria via PEC (certified email) to any Agenzia office, accompanied by a completed and signed AA4/8 form and a copy of their identification. If the form is signed digitally, the ID copy is not required, facilitating a more efficient process for users.

Moreover, the guide elaborates on how taxpayers residing in Italy or abroad can communicate their domiciles to the Agenzia. This communication is crucial as it allows individuals to designate where tax documents and notifications, including payment notices, should be sent. For citizens living outside Italy who do not have a designated domicile or fiscal representative within the country, they can provide an address in their foreign residence.

To establish a domicile, individuals are advised to use the agency's specific web service available in their reserved area, or they can submit a physical form through registered mail to the appropriate Agenzia office. This service empowers citizens to receive official documents timely and efficiently.

In a significant advancement for digital services, residents can now opt for electronic notifications from the Agenzia by communicating their "domicilio digitale speciale" (special digital domicile) using an official PEC address. This enables not just the notification of acts legally required to be served, but also includes various communications such as payment notices and collection actions. This service is designed for individuals, professionals, and private entities not required to register in professional or company registers, thus broadening its applicability.

Finally, the guide encourages citizens to keep their contact information updated. Through the "Contatti" section of their profile, individuals can register their phone numbers and emails to receive crucial information or notices, including alerts about deadlines or updates regarding their pre-filled tax returns. One notable integration is with the "IO" app, which consolidates messages from the Agenzia alongside communications from other accredited public administrations, making it easier for users to stay informed.

With these updates, the Agenzia delle Entrate not only simplifies interactions with public services but also shows its dedication to enhancing the efficiency of its operations and improving the overall experience for citizens.
