LOKLiK Launches Affordable DTF Printer for Home Entrepreneurs

LOKLiK, known for its innovative approaches within the DIY sector, has unveiled the LOKLiK iPrinter™ DTF-A3-XP600, aiming to reshape the direct-to-film printing market for small business owners and craft enthusiasts. The printer is now available for pre-sale at $2,399, featuring advanced functionalities set to democratize access to high-quality printing solutions.

Tim, the Product Director at LOKLiK, emphasized the new printer's potential: "DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing has been a favorite among DIY enthusiasts and small business owners for its ability to produce detailed, multi-color designs with ease." He noted the high costs and maintenance issues traditionally linked to DTF printers had restricted access. With the introduction of the iPrinter™, LOKLiK aims to eliminate these barriers, bridging the gap between industrial-grade performance and home crafting.

The iPrinter™ features remarkable innovations such as automatic white ink circulation and printhead cleaning systems. These functions maintain smooth ink flow and reduce the risk of printhead clogs, greatly extending the printer's lifespan and minimizing time-consuming upkeep. These features make it particularly appealing for beginners entering the DTF world. Tim highlighted, "The LOKLiK iPrinter™ stands out as the best DTF printer for beginners, offering easy maintenance and reducing the need for costly, time-consuming upkeep."

Equipped with the leading XP600 printhead, the iPrinter™ promises to deliver sharp, vivid prints consistently, capable of creating designs up to A3 size within just three minutes. This efficiency is attractive to entrepreneurs aiming to streamline their production processes. The printer's design also incorporates vibrant colors—daisy white and bubble blue—which add personality to the workspace.

LOKLiK takes customer experience seriously, offering three kits catering to various needs: the DTF starter kit, which includes the printer and necessary consumables; the DTF printer and oven kit, perfect for creating fully-cured products; and the DTF printer and heat press kit, providing everything needed for complete DTF projects. Herman, the CEO of LOKLiK, shared the company’s vision: "At LOKLiK, our goal is to make DIY accessible to more people...bringing our products to more homes and empowering individuals to explore their creativity."

Meanwhile, Mereton Textiles is making strides within the DTF space by relocating its operations to Penrith, western Sydney, enhancing its sustainability efforts. Joe Aliano, the managing director, explained the move aimed to improve efficiency and facilitate growth: "We were looking for...a one-level facility... with more usable space." The new facility provides greater operational capacity, allowing for upgraded workflow and services.

Founded in 2004, Mereton Textiles specializes in custom printing across various fabrics, including polystyrene, natural fibres, and wallpapers. The company continues to embrace direct-to-film printing, having launched its own DTF transfer product, Press & Peel, last year. Over the last year, it has also expanded its machinery capabilities, implementing new equipment like the Oric Printer Machine, DTF printer, and heat press. Joe indicated future investments to advance sustainability measures are on the horizon: "We’re continually upgrading our equipment...watch this space."

Both LOKLiK and Mereton Textiles represent the shifting dynamics and innovations of the DTF printer market, highlighting not only technological advancements but also the entrepreneurial spirit tied to sustainability. With DTF printing growing steadily, these companies exemplify how small businesses can thrive within the sector, encouraging creativity and eco-friendly practices. The future looks promising for both creators and consumers as this technology evolves.
