Aeromexico is making significant strides to improve its passenger experience and expand its network with the introduction of new routes and enhanced onboard connectivity. The Mexican airline recently announced its collaboration with Viasat, a key player in satellite communications, to upgrade its fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners with high-speed Wi-Fi capabilities.
On February 25, 2025, Viasat confirmed it would retrofit Aeromexico's entire fleet of 17 Boeing 787 aircraft, which consists of eight B787-8s and nine B787-9s. The first aircraft equipped with the new high-speed Wi-Fi solution is expected to enter service by the end of 2025. This upgrade will replace the existing system and improve connectivity for passengers during flights, enabling services such as video streaming, browsing, and real-time messaging.

Reports indicate the introduction of new daily flights connecting Mexico City to Cali beginning June 19, 2025, utilizing its Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, following the recent launch of flights to Cartagena on February 20, 2025.
