Abor & Tynna Gear Up For Eurovision With New Tour And Hits

With their song "Baller" climbing the charts, the duo expands their tour schedule and prepares for the contest in Basel.

Abor & Tynna are rising stars in the music world, having recently won the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) with their energetic song "Baller". Following their victory in the "Chefsache ESC 2025 – Who Will Sing for Germany?", the duo has seen a surge in popularity, charting in the German single and album charts. They have upgraded their first headliner tour for autumn 2025, with concerts in larger venues across Germany and Austria.

The excitement surrounding their upcoming tour reflects their success in the music industry. Initially set to perform in Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, and Cologne, Abor & Tynna expanded their schedule by adding shows in Munich, Linz, Leipzig, Stuttgart, and Zurich, as announced via their Instagram channel on March 21, 2025. Their tour, named after their debut album "bittersüß", is gaining traction among fans.

The dates for the "bittersüß" tour are as follows: September 28, 2025, in Frankfurt at Batschkapp; September 30, 2025, in Berlin at Heimathafen Neukölln; October 1, 2025, in Hamburg at Gruenspan; October 2, 2025, in Cologne at Gloria; October 4, 2025, in Vienna at Flex; October 7, 2025, in Munich at Muffathalle; October 8, 2025, in Linz at Posthof – Zeitkultur am Hafen; October 9, 2025, in Leipzig at Täubchenthal; and October 11, 2025, in Stuttgart at Im Wizemann. Tickets are available at all major pre-sale outlets.

Beyond their tour, Abor & Tynna are preparing for the ESC, set for May 17, 2025, in Basel. Their participation has not come without controversy, particularly regarding the use of Auto-Tune in their song "Baller". The NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk) has confirmed that their entry complies with EBU rules, stating that Auto-Tune is permissible when not used to improve vocal quality. Nevertheless, concerns linger about whether Tynna’s performance adheres to strict regulations against lip-syncing.

The ESC rules indicate that participants must not appear to sing along to pre-recorded audio, which has raised eyebrows, especially since Tynna's use of Auto-Tune was prominent during the preliminary competition. It was found that Tynna did not consistently follow these guidelines during the semifinal and final of the German preliminary. As a response, Tynna indicated that she had been unwell and thus relied on playback for some parts.

Despite these issues, Abor & Tynna remain optimistic about their chances at the competition, with both expressing confidence in winning. Their track "Baller" made an impressive entry into the charts, peaking at number 13 on the German singles chart and even taking the number one spot on the global Spotify Viral charts. However, bookmakers have positioned them at 21st in a betting forecast, with polls indicating a narrow competition between Austria and Sweden for the ESC title.

In an interesting twist, the duo hails from Vienna but is representing Germany at the ESC. This has raised questions about the rules regarding national representation, but it is confirmed that performers are not required to be from the country they represent. Tynna expressed hope for support from Austria, highlighting a sense of duality in their representation.

Their performance and the song have received mixed reviews. International ESC influencers have noted that "Baller" is catchy and danceable, drawing comparisons to previous winners like Lena, who claimed victory in 2010 with "Satellite". Many fans and commentators are eager to see how the duo's performance evolves leading up to the May finals.

As preparations continue, Abor & Tynna's public image remains high, with fans eager to engage. They managed to outperform their predecessor, Isaak, who achieved a twelfth place in 2024, marking a hopeful turnaround for Germany at the ESC.

The upcoming "bittersüß" tour and their participation at the ESC represent significant milestones for the duo, showcasing their ambition to revitalize Germany's presence on the European music stage.
