2025 NBA All-Star Weekend Set For San Francisco

The annual celebration includes new tournament format and star-studded events.

The 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend is set to take over the San Francisco Bay Area from February 14-16, bringing three days of electrifying basketball action, star-studded matchups, and high-flying entertainment. Hosted by the Golden State Warriors, this year's event promises fresh twists on the classic All-Star Game format, all the fan-favorite events like the 3-Point Contest, Slam Dunk Contest, and Celebrity Game.

If you're a basketball fan, this weekend is one to circle on your calendar. The action kicks off on Friday, February 14, with the Rising Stars Challenge showcasing the league's best young talent. The weekend opens with various activities, including the:


  • 2:30 p.m. ET - Castrol Rising Stars Practice (NBA TV & NBA App)

  • 6:00 p.m. ET - Basketball Hall of Fame News Conference (NBA TV & NBA App)

  • 7:00 p.m. ET - Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game (ESPN)

  • 9:00 p.m. ET - Castrol Rising Stars Tournament (TNT & TruTV)

The Rising Stars event will adopt a three-game format, with the championship round scheduled for 10:35 p.m. ET. The winning team will earn the final spot in the revamped All-Star Game tournament on Sunday.

Saturday, February 15, introduces fans to a series of skills and shooting contests, culminating with the highly anticipated State Farm All-Star Saturday Night. Planned events include:

Sunday, February 16, marks the 74th NBA All-Star Game, which will break from the traditional East vs. West showdown. Instead, four teams will compete in a mini-tournament, including one team made up of Rising Stars Challenge winners. The Sunday lineup includes:

  • 3:30 p.m. ET - G League Up Next Game presented by AT&T

LeBron James, extending his record with his 21st All-Star selection, will lead the Western Conference starters alongside other stars like Nikola Jokic, Kevin Durant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and local hero Stephen Curry. Meanwhile, the Eastern Conference will see stars like Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell, and Jalen Brunson step up, with Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined due to injury.
