2024 Melhores Do Ano Honors Globo's Top Talent

The annual Melhores do Ano award ceremony, hosted by TV Globo, took place live on December 15, 2024, celebrating the talents of the network across various categories. With Luciano Huck at the helm, the event was characterized by its emotional moments and the recognition of excellence within entertainment and journalism.

This year, the evening was packed with excitement as the winners were announced, drawing significant attention to the network's standout shows and personalities.

Larissa Bocchino was awarded the coveted title of Revelation of the Year for her role as Quinota in the popular soap opera No Rancho Fundo. This recognition marked her impressive debut, much to the delight of audiences and industry leaders alike. “Melhor Atriz da categoria 'Revelação' é Larissa Bocchino!” cheered TV Globo’s official Twitter account, reflecting the enthusiasm surrounding her achievement.

Another key highlight of the evening was the award for Best Journalism, presented to César Tralli, known for his work on Jornal Hoje and as a substitute anchor for Jornal Nacional. Tralli's heartfelt acceptance speech moved many, including his wife, Ticiane Pinheiro, who watched proudly from the audience. “Estou super emocionado, quero fazer um agradecimento especial à TV Globo e ao jornalismo profissional, o quanto cada vez mais o nosso papel na sociedade é importante e faz a diferença,” he stated during his speech, recognizing the contributions of his colleagues and the importance of journalism.

  • Best Actress in a Miniseries: Marjorie Estiano for her portrayal in Fim.

  • Best Actor in a Miniseries: Juan Paiva for his role in Justiça 2.

  • Series of the Year: Justiça 2, written by Manuela Dias.

  • Best Humor: Paulo Vieira, recognized for his wit and charm as the host of Avisa Lá Que Eu Vou.

  • Best Actress in a Soap Opera: Andrea Beltrão for her performance as Zefa Leonel in No Rancho Fundo.

  • Song of the Year: “Dois Tristes,” performed by Simone Mendes.

  • Best Actor in a Soap Opera: Chay Suede for his leading role as Mavi in Mania de Você.

  • Soap Opera of the Year: Renascer, honored for its impactful storytelling and audience appeal.

The event also paid tribute to the late Silvio Santos, one of Brazil's prominent television hosts, reflecting the deep respect within the industry for his contributions to Brazilian media. Marking this historic moment, Globo and SBT collaborated to honor his legacy, illuminating the shared history of broadcasting between both networks.
