2024 Japanese Mini-Jumbo Lottery Announces Winning Numbers

The lottery features prizes totaling millions, with cashing procedures detailed for winners across all tiers.

The 2024 Year-End Japanese Mini-Jumbo Lottery held its draw on December 31, announcing the winning numbers and providing excited hope for lottery enthusiasts across Japan.

This year's lottery offers substantial prizes, with the top prize being 30 million yen for the first-place winner. According to reports, the winning ticket number for the first prize is 163258 from group 1. Along with the primary prize, there are also bonuses for tickets with numbers immediately before and after the winning ticket, each worth 10 million yen.

Other notable prizes include the second prize of 1 million yen available for the common numbers across all groups, which include 136810, 126759, and 115035. The third prize gives winners 10,000 yen for the last three digits being 888. Further down the tiers, the fourth prize of 3,000 yen can be claimed for the last two digits of 30, and the fifth prize rewards 300 yen for tickets with the last single digit of 2.

Cashing the winnings is scheduled to commence from January 9, 2025. Mizuho Bank highlighted the procedures for winners: prizes worth up to 10,000 yen can be collected at lottery ticket sales locations, or at Mizuho Bank branches (some exceptions apply). For winnings exceeding 10,000 yen, collection must be made at Mizuho Bank branches, with identification required for amounts over 500,000 yen.

The bank also specified the necessary identification for collecting prizes. For amounts of 500,000 yen and above, ID verification documents such as driver's licenses will need to be presented. If the verification document does not have a photograph, winners will have to provide additional identification or utility bills as supplementary documents. For anyone winning over 1 million yen, not only proof of identification but also personal seals will be required.

It’s important for winners to factor in processing time, which can take about one week for claims, particularly for larger amounts. Lottery enthusiasts are advised to verify the winning numbers through official channels to avoid any potential disappointment.

The Year-End Jumbo lottery has been a popular feature across Japan, celebrated for its ability to change lives, generating excitement and anticipation leading up to the draw. The allure of the lottery lies not only in the substantial amounts up for grabs but also the thrill of possibility – the dreams of what winners could do with their newfound riches.

Millions of eager participants buy tickets every year, hoping this might be their time to join the fortunate few. The 2024 draw, with its significant prizes, is expected to continue this rich tradition of lottery enthusiasm throughout the country.
