The 2024 Drumeo Awards winners have been officially announced, celebrating the incredible talent of drummers from around the world. This year, thousands of votes poured in from enthusiasts eager to recognize the best among the vibrant drumming community.
Among the standout winners was El Estepario Siberiano, who captured the coveted Drummer of the Year award. He captivated audiences this year by forming the band The Cost, collaborating with renowned artists such as Serj Tankian, and producing several viral videos showcasing his extraordinary skills. “Your vote made it loud and clear: El Estepario Siberiano was your favorite,” noted the Drumeo team.
The Drum Recording of the Year went to the new album from Green Day, featuring Tré Cool's dynamic drumming on multiple tracks. This album not only highlighted his drumming prowess but became integral to the band's overall sound and success this past year.
Another highlight of the awards was Eloy Casagrande's performance, which saw him debut as the new drummer for Slipknot. His legendary live performance, set against the stunning backdrop of the desert, made waves across the drumming community.

Notable winners across genres included Cody Ash, who toured with rising country artist Jelly Roll, and Eric, who showcased finesse and speed tours with numerous international stars. Styles varied widely, with Stanton leading the way for soul and funk enthusiasts, and Mark Guiliana breaking ground with his ambitious solo album.
A hallmark of the Drumeo Awards has always been its special categories, where distinctive accomplishments are recognized. This year’s Buddy Rich Award went to Alex Van Halen, known for his groundbreaking approach to rock drumming. Described as “a drummer who has built their legacy through decades of excellence,” Van Halen’s contributions continue to be pivotal.
Ramon Montagner was honored for his innovative work blending Brazilian rhythms within the jazz fusion genre, highlighting the importance of integrating diverse styles and cultures within drumming. The recipient of the Tony Williams youth impact award, Shane Hawkins, has continued to honor his late father, Taylor Hawkins, and make his own footprint on the scene, performing alongside the Foo Fighters.
The awards also emphasized the importance of online community and presence. El Estepario was once again recognized as the YouTube Drummer of the Year, breaking records with over 1 billion views, showing the significant impact online platforms have on the music community. Buckets the Drummer earned accolades for his engaging street performances and positive impact on social media.
