On February 26, 2025, the city of Cilegon, Indonesia, saw the launch of significant community assistance programs aimed at addressing urgent needs, particularly surrounding water scarcity and agricultural development.
The event, held at Link. Gerem Kulon, was marked by the inauguration of a bore well initiated as part of the Polri (Indonesian National Police) social service project. Community leader Drs Zaenal Fatah expressed immense gratitude during the ceremony, stating, "Thank you very much to P3M Polban for always partnering with us, helping us develop our business in the coffee agricultural product sector," showcasing the collaboration meant to uplift local communities.
At the event, Fatah emphasized the struggles faced by the residents during the dry season, highlighting how the newly established bore well is set to provide much-needed water supply. "We hope what has been provided will be beneficial and sustainable," he remarked, signaling hope for future utility and community resilience.

Notably, the Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) Jawa Tengah has also taken proactive steps to address economic challenges. The bank's branch manager, Wahyu Hermawan, revealed how they are tackling non-performing loans totaling approximately Rp 6 billion with the assistance of the local prosecutor's office, ensuring accountability and operational efficiency for the bank.
Speaking on the collaboration, Hermawan affirmed, "The cooperation is not only for civil and state administration matters but also to provide education to PT BPR BKK Jateng," showing the intersection of legal aid and community education.
This assistance, both from governmental and educational entities, is proving transformative, especially for rural farmers. For example, coffee farmers associated with the Lembaga Masyarakat Desa Hutan (LMDH) Hurip Raharja expressed their joy after receiving advanced coffee grinding machinery from Politeknik Negeri Bandung (Polban). This support has empowered them significantly, enabling them to process their harvested coffee beans effectively.
Yudi Rukmana, Chairman of LMDH Hurip Raharja, highlighted the impact of such technology, noting, "Now, we have complete coffee processing tools, and we can efficiently grind coffee ourselves, thereby increasing our income." The highly efficient grinder has the capacity to grind up to 50 kilograms of coffee per hour, which can be operated for extended periods, enhancing productivity.
The collaboration between LMDH and Polban is not merely transactional, but part of a larger mission of community service. Prasetyo, head of the implementation team for community service at Polban, mentioned, "We are fulfilling our societal obligations without financial gain for ourselves," reiterative of their commitment to assisting local communities.
