Hyundai Mobility Thailand has officially announced the pricing for its much-anticipated IONIQ 5 electric vehicle (EV), marking the launch of this innovative model as it continues to gain traction within the rapidly growing electric vehicle market. Starting at 1,399,000 THB, this announcement highlights significant price cuts for both versions of the vehicle, aimed at making EVs more accessible to consumers and capturing the interest of potential buyers.
The IONIQ 5, developed on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), presents itself as more than just another electric car; it symbolizes clean energy and powerful performance. With the potential to redefine the EV experience, it earned recognition as the World Car of the Year for 2022, underlining Hyundai's commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Hyundai is offering two variants of the IONIQ 5, namely the Premium Standard Range and the Exclusive Long Range. The Premium version, equipped with a 58 kWh battery, outputs 170 horsepower and supports rear-wheel drive (RWD). This model boasts a maximum driving range of 384 kilometers per charge, as per WLTP standards. The Exclusive variant, with advancements such as a 72.6 kWh battery producing 217 horsepower, can travel up to 481 kilometers when fully charged, achieving acceleration from 0-100 km/h within just 7.4 seconds.
Two specific price adjustments were made: the IONIQ 5 Premium, previously priced at 1,699,000 THB, is now available for 1,399,000 THB, marking a reduction of 300,000 THB. Similarly, the IONIQ 5 Exclusive, originally priced at 1,829,000 THB, has been reduced by 330,000 THB to a new price of 1,499,000 THB. Such significant reductions aim to entice potential buyers and promote the adoption of electric vehicles during this pivotal moment for the industry.

These include 5 years or 150,000 kilometers of vehicle warranty, 8 years or 160,000 kilometers of warranty on high-voltage batteries, and 5,000 THB worth of charging credit available to new owners.
Notably, the IONIQ 5 incorporates advanced technologies such as Ultra-Fast Charging, enabling users to charge their vehicles from 10% to 80% within just 18 minutes thanks to its 800-volt system capable of supporting up to 350 kW of power. The vehicle also offers unique vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities, providing the luxury of powering external devices, enhancing convenience for outdoor adventures and modern lifestyles.
Safety features are also emphasized with Hyundai SmartSense technologies, including Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, and Lane Keeping Assist, which contribute to the overall safe driving experience.
