This D-class SUV was showcased at the Vietnam Auto Show 2024, signaling Skoda's commitment to delivering high-quality vehicles to Southeast Asia.

The Kodiaq is available in two models: the Premium priced at 1.45 billion dong and the Sportline at 1.48 billion dong. These variants cater to diverse consumer preferences, with the SUV laying claim to a more upscale and rugged design, featuring modern solid aesthetics. Its dimensions are impressive, measuring 4,758 mm long, 1,864 mm wide, and 1,659 mm high.

The SUV's spacious interior is outfitted with premium features including a 13-inch touchscreen, three-zone automatic climate control, and high-end audio system by Canton. Notably, the new Skoda Kodiaq is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 TSI engine producing 190 horsepower and can accommodate varied driving conditions with its different drive modes.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV takes urban affordability to new heights. Launched with eye-catching modern features, the Mini EV is leading the charge with its accessible price range of 44,800 to 50,800 yuan (approximately 2.08 to 2.36 hundred thousand baht).

This adorable five-door electric vehicle targets city commuters, boasting compact dimensions of 3,256 mm in length and offering innovative storage solutions. Despite its petite size, the Mini EV provides ample interior space with 19 storage compartments and flexibility for cargo transport—making it ideal for urban life. The introduction of these electric vehicles adds to the competitive electrified automobile market, especially as Tesla continues making headlines with the Model Y. The Tesla's impact is felt intensely, especially since the Model Y has just begun delivering units officially to consumers. The rapid delivery, highlighted by Tesla’s announcement, has positioned it as a formidable competitor among the numerous EV options available, including those from Wuling and Skoda.

Choices like the Skoda Kodiaq and Wuling Hongguang Mini EV reflect the adaptation of manufacturers to meet the increasing demand for environmentally friendly transportation solutions.

This competitive nature encourages innovative features, enhanced safety technology, and attractive pricing, positioning Vietnam as the next hotspot for electric vehicle growth.
