Eduardo Xol, the beloved star of ABC's hit show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, tragically passed away at the age of 58 after succumbing to injuries from a brutal stabbing incident. The Palm Springs Police Department confirmed his death on September 20, more than ten days following the initial attack, which occurred on September 10.
Authorities responded to reports of distress at Xol's residence early on the morning of the stabbing. At approximately 5:41 AM, officers were dispatched to the scene, where they found Xol suffering from significant injuries consistent with an assault. Disturbingly, Xol managed to inform the police of the attack, stating he had been stabbed, but did not identify his assailant before being rushed to the hospital.
Just moments after the officers arrived, another call was made to the police by Richard Joseph Gonzales, 34, who claimed he had been assaulted the previous evening.
