Prime Video is making bold moves this year, unveiling a slate of original content that’s as ambitious as it is diverse. From fresh takes on beloved book series to the return of a Marvel favorite in a noir setting, the streaming giant is signaling its commitment to both international storytelling and blockbuster entertainment. As February 2026 unfolds, viewers have plenty to look forward to—and even more on the horizon.

On February 11, 2026, Prime Video announced it had greenlit an adaptation of Chloe Walsh’s BookTok sensation, Boys of Tommen. As reported by Deadline, this marks a significant coup for the platform, which will adapt the first two novels—Binding 13 and Keeping 13—from the six-book series. The production, a collaboration between Drama Republic, Temple Hill, wiip, and Amazon MGM Studios, is scheduled to begin filming later this year, with an anticipated release in 2027.

The story at the heart of Boys of Tommen is a sweeping romance set in Ballylaggin, Ireland, centering on Johnny Kavanagh, a star rugby player facing a potentially career-ending injury, and Shannon Lynch, the painfully shy new girl at Tommen College who is hiding her own troubled home life. The series, which will span eight episodes, promises to tackle themes of abuse, bullying, mental health, and first love, all set against the backdrop of a prestigious Irish school.

Chloe Walsh, whose books soared to the top of the New York Times bestseller list and became a viral hit on BookTok, expressed her excitement about the adaptation. "The response from readers around the world has been overwhelming, and knowing that everyone behind this production and book shares my passion for telling this story authentically means the world to me," Walsh told Deadline.

Poppy Cogan, known for her work on A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, takes on the role of lead writer and executive producer. She’s joined by a team that includes Walsh herself, as well as Paul Lee, Hope Hartman, Sean Flanagan, Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, James Seidman, Annika Patten, Greg Brenman, and Deena Butt. With such a powerhouse of talent, expectations are high for the adaptation.

Nicole Clemens, who stepped into the role of VP of International Originals at Prime Video in the summer of 2025, is steering the project. Having moved from Los Angeles to London, Clemens has set her sights on building a robust UK and Ireland content slate with global appeal. She explained to Deadline, "There are two main focuses. I really wanted to come into the UK, and because of my longstanding relationships with talent and producers here, help build that slate. And I have a fantastic team... but this is where I’m really hands on, and I’m in pitches, in the creative readings, everything."

Clemens is also focused on making the commissioning process more transparent and efficient, aiming to foster closer relationships with local producers and talent. "It’s important to be able to say the decisions are being made here and there’s very low bureaucracy. What has maybe been perceived as a little bit of an opaque process, we’re wanting to make it as transparent as possible, so that people know what we want, what we’re looking for, and that we are moving quickly, and that we want to build the slate," she said.

But Boys of Tommen is just the tip of the iceberg for Prime Video this February. According to Decider, the platform’s new releases for the month include a mix of original movies, series, and classic titles. Among the standouts is Relationship Goals, a romantic comedy released on February 4, starring Kelly Rowland and Clifford “Method Man” Smith as exes competing for the same job on New York’s top morning show. Directed by Linda Mendoza, the film explores whether ambition and love can truly go hand in hand.

For those looking to get in the Valentine’s Day spirit, Love Me, Love Me premiered on February 13. This English-language Italian film, based on Stefania S’s popular Wattpad novel, follows American teen June as she starts anew in Italy after her brother’s death, only to find herself caught between a brooding MMA fighter and his studious best friend. The tangled romance and secrets promise plenty of drama for YA fans.

Thriller enthusiasts have 56 Days to look forward to, which debuted on February 18. Adapted from Catherine Ryan Howard’s 2021 novel, this series stars Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia as a couple whose whirlwind supermarket romance takes a dark turn. Fifty-six days after their first meeting, police discover a brutally murdered body, kicking off a suspenseful investigation into what really happened. The show is being billed as an erotic thriller, with plenty of twists to keep viewers guessing.

Prime Video’s February lineup doesn’t stop there. The schedule is packed with both original and licensed content, including the return of Cross: Season 2 on February 11, the basketball documentary Soul Power: The Legend of the American Basketball Association on February 12, and the much-anticipated The Bluff on February 25. Sports fans can tune in for live NBA action throughout the month, while classic film lovers will find titles like La La Land, The Big Lebowski, and Sleepless in Seattle added to the catalog.

Looking ahead, March promises even more excitement with the arrival of Young Sherlock: Season 1 on March 4. Directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin, this origin story based on Andrew Lane’s novels reimagines Sherlock Holmes as a raw, undisciplined 19-year-old navigating the treacherous waters of 1870s Oxford. The series promises a blend of mystery, action, and period intrigue.

One of the most anticipated releases of 2026, however, is Spider-Noir. On February 10, Prime Video released the first-look images for the series, which stars Nicolas Cage in his first leading television role. According to a press release from Prime Video, Spider-Noir is based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir and is set in 1930s New York. Cage plays Ben Reilly, a down-on-his-luck private investigator forced to confront his past as the city’s only superhero after a personal tragedy.

The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television exclusively for MGM+ and Prime Video, with Harry Bradbeer directing and executive producing the first two episodes. The show will premiere domestically on MGM+’s linear channel in spring 2026 before launching globally on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories. In a unique twist, viewers can choose to watch Spider-Noir in either “Authentic Black & White” or “True-Hue Full Color”—a nod to the classic noir aesthetic and the modern appetite for bold visuals.

The ensemble cast includes Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson, with guest stars such as Lukas Haas and Amanda Schull. The creative team boasts heavy hitters like Oren Uziel, Steve Lightfoot, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, ensuring the series has both pedigree and vision.

With so many high-profile projects in the pipeline, Prime Video is clearly doubling down on original content and global reach. Whether it’s reimagining classic heroes, bringing bestselling novels to life, or delivering new romantic comedies and thrillers, the streaming service is poised to keep viewers engaged—and coming back for more—throughout 2026 and beyond.

As the streaming wars continue, one thing’s for sure: Prime Video is determined to be a major player, offering stories that are as varied as its global audience.
