Powerball Winners Await Results As States Reveal Draws

Multiple states released winning numbers for Powerball and local games on February 9, with prize claim rules and drawing schedules providing guidance for hopeful ticket holders.

Monday, February 9, 2026, proved to be a big day for lottery enthusiasts across the United States, as several states held their highly anticipated draw games, offering a shot at life-changing jackpots and smaller, yet still thrilling, cash prizes. From the Powerball’s multi-state allure to local favorites like Michigan’s Daily 3 and Mississippi’s Match 5, the day’s results brought excitement, hope, and—no doubt—a little heartbreak for those who came close but didn’t quite clinch the win.

According to the North Carolina Education Lottery, the Powerball numbers drawn on February 9 were 06-19-22-28-48, with Powerball 24 and a Power Play multiplier of 5. This particular combination was mirrored in other states as well, since Powerball is a multi-jurisdictional game. The Texas Lottery and Florida Lottery both reported the same Powerball results, underscoring the game’s national reach and appeal. The next Powerball drawing is already scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, at 10:12 p.m., giving hopefuls another chance to try their luck.

But Powerball wasn’t the only game in town. North Carolina also held its Lucky For Life draw, producing the winning numbers 11-14-23-25-42 with Lucky Ball 03. Michigan reported the exact same Lucky For Life results, as confirmed by the Michigan Lottery. In both states, this game offers winners a unique prize: $1,000 a day for life, a tantalizing prospect that has captured the imagination of players nationwide.

Meanwhile, in the South, the Mississippi Lottery held its daily draws, including the Mississippi Match 5, which yielded the numbers 12-19-25-26-30. For Cash 3, the midday numbers were 5-4-7 with a Fireball of 0, and the evening numbers were 5-1-5 with Fireball 0. Cash 4 produced midday numbers 1-1-5-7 (Fireball 0) and evening numbers 3-8-1-6 (Fireball 0). The Cash Pop game, a newer addition to the lottery roster, saw the number 02 drawn in both the midday and evening rounds. These games, held daily at 2:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., are staples for Mississippi players looking for more frequent chances to win.

Florida’s lottery scene was equally busy. The Florida Lottery not only participated in the Powerball drawing but also held its own Double Play, which resulted in the numbers 02-33-49-51-64 with Powerball 26. The Cash4Life game produced winning numbers 02-20-29-33-43 and Cash Ball 03. For Fantasy 5, the midday draw gave 03-07-13-14-24, while the evening draw offered 03-04-10-17-32. The state’s Cash Pop game, which runs multiple times a day, saw a variety of winning numbers: Morning 01, Matinee 15, Afternoon 14, Evening 06, and Late Night 06. Florida’s Pick 2, Pick 3, Pick 4, and Pick 5 games also delivered fresh combinations for both midday and evening sessions.

Michigan’s lottery lineup on February 9 was just as robust. The state’s Daily 3 game awarded prizes for midday numbers 0-2-2 and evening numbers 5-0-6. Daily 4 winners were drawn as 0-6-1-8 (midday) and 7-0-2-2 (evening). Fantasy 5, another player favorite, had two sets of winning numbers: 03-15-20-26-30 and 03-18-29-34-36. The Poker Lotto draw dealt JD, AH, 7C, 9C, and 6H, while the Daily Keno produced a lengthy list of 22 winning numbers, adding variety and excitement for those who enjoy more complex games.

Of course, winning is only half the story—the other half is claiming those prizes. Each state has its own procedures and requirements. In North Carolina, prizes up to $599 can be redeemed at any lottery retailer, while larger prizes must be claimed either by mail or at one of several regional offices, such as those in Asheville, Greensboro, Charlotte, Raleigh, Greenville, or Wilmington. Prizes over $599 require a government-issued photo ID and a Social Security card, and claims under $600 can be processed without those documents.

Mississippi’s process is similar, with prizes up to $599 available at retailers and larger prizes claimed at the Mississippi Lottery Headquarters in Flowood or by mail. For prizes of $100,000 or more, winners must appear in person at headquarters with proper identification. All claims must be made within 180 days of the drawing date, a crucial detail for any would-be winners who might be tempted to let their ticket sit too long in a drawer.

Florida’s rules add another layer: prizes of $599 or less can be claimed at any authorized retailer or district office, but larger prizes must be claimed at a district office or, in the case of prizes over $1 million or those with an annual payment option, at the lottery headquarters. Florida law also mandates public disclosure of winners’ names, city of residence, game won, date won, amount, and the retailer’s name and location—so there’s no flying under the radar if you hit it big in the Sunshine State.

Michigan offers redemption at retailers for prizes up to $600, and for larger amounts, winners can claim by mail or at regional offices in cities like Lansing, Livonia, Sterling Heights, Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Saginaw. Prizes over $100,000 must be claimed in person at the Michigan Lottery Headquarters in Lansing, with original ID and Social Security card required and names on both needing to match exactly.

For those who missed out on February 9’s excitement, there’s always another chance. Each state holds regular drawings for their respective games: Powerball is drawn at 10:59 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday; Mega Millions on Tuesday and Friday evenings; and state-specific games like Cash 3, Pick 3, and Fantasy 5 have daily or even twice-daily draws. Players can check previous results, prize amounts, and claim instructions on each state’s official lottery website.

So, did anyone win the big one? At press time, the states had not yet announced any jackpot winners for the February 9 Powerball draw, but the buzz and anticipation remain palpable. For every winner, there are countless others already dreaming about the next drawing, clutching their tickets with hope—and maybe a little superstition.

As the lottery continues to be a fixture of American life, offering the promise of sudden fortune and the thrill of the unknown, one thing is certain: the numbers may change, but the dream stays the same.
