Berlin’s annual IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) returned for its 101st year on September 14, 2025, transforming the Messe Berlin grounds into a showcase of next-generation consumer electronics. As the world’s longest-running technology trade show, IFA has always been the place where innovation takes center stage, and this year was no exception. From wireless charging breakthroughs to award-winning smart devices, the 2025 edition proved that the future of tech is both smarter and more connected than ever.
Just weeks before the event, Google set the stage by unveiling its latest Pixel smartphones, notably the Pixel 10 Pro XL, which now supports Qi 2 and Qi 2.2 wireless charging standards. This leap means Google’s flagship phone can finally compete with Apple’s MagSafe, offering users the promise of faster, more reliable magnetic charging. With the Pixel 10 Pro XL’s 25W wireless charging capabilities, the race was on for accessory makers to deliver compatible solutions—and deliver they did.
Belkin, the American electronics stalwart, was among the first to make headlines. According to IFA reports, the company introduced its UltraCharge Magnetic Charger 25W, a Qi 2.2 certified puck designed to unlock the full 25W wireless charging speed on the Pixel 10 Pro XL. Priced to compete with Google’s own Pixelsnap puck, the UltraCharge brings a few extra perks: a built-in kickstand for hands-free use and passive cooling technology dubbed “ChillBoost” to keep devices cool during power-ups. The included 2-meter cable means users aren’t tied to the wall, and Belkin’s new charger will hit shelves in October 2025. The brand also rolled out a 75W car charger with a retractable USB-C cable, catering to power-hungry commuters.
UGREEN, another crowd favorite, arrived at IFA with its full MagFlow series. Leading the charge is the MagFlow Magnetic Power Bank 10000mAh 25W, which boasts 25W wireless charging, 30W two-way fast charging, and a handy display showing battery percentage and charging status. At $90, it’s a feature-packed choice for those wanting to ditch cables. UGREEN’s MagFlow 2-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charger 25W supports simultaneous dual-device charging—either wirelessly, via cable, or both—and integrates a stand for video calls or streaming. The MagFlow 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charger 25W and its Desktop sibling take things further, offering foldable design, multi-angle support, and tailored compatibility with iOS’s StandBy mode. The desktop version even has a weighted base adjustable up to 70 degrees. For minimalists, the MagFlow Magnetic Wireless Charging Pad 25W provides a no-frills, high-speed wireless pad.
But perhaps the most novel concept came from Aukey, which debuted the MagFusion Ark—billed as the world’s first modular true wireless charger. Built on Qi 2.2, the MagFusion Ark features a 6-in-1 modular system with three detachable charging spheres. Each sphere delivers up to 25W wireless charging and doubles as a portable 6700mAh power bank with a 30W USB-C PD 3.0 port for wired charging. The base supports three devices, and when the spheres are docked, users can charge up to six devices at once—think smartphones, earbuds, and smartwatches. Aukey’s active cooling and dual Rx/Tx technology keep things running smoothly. The MagFusion Ark is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2026, setting a new bar for charging versatility.
On the Anker front, the brand’s latest lineup wowed visitors with both power and intelligence. Its 3-in-1 Prime Wireless Charging Station with MagGo, AirCool, and Dock Stand leverages advanced cooling to maintain device temperatures below 36°C—a boon for battery longevity. The built-in screen displays charging status and lets users customize schedules and modes, including a sleep-friendly Silent Night Mode. Anker’s 160W Prime Charger, thanks to Dynamic Power Allocation, offers up to 140W per USB-C port and a total output of 160W, all in a package 43% smaller than Apple’s comparable 140W charger. The charger is also controllable via the Anker app, giving users unprecedented flexibility.
For those building the ultimate workstation, Anker’s Prime Docking Station is a 14-in-1 marvel, supporting up to three external displays (up to 8K via DisplayLink), multiple USB ports, dual HDMI, DisplayPort, audio jack, Ethernet, and SD/TF memory card slots. The Prime Power Bank, meanwhile, brings a whopping 26,250mAh capacity and 300W output—enough to charge two laptops and a phone simultaneously. With a screen indicating power output and a 250W dual-port input that recharges the bank to 40% in just 10 minutes, it’s both powerful and portable, meeting airline carry-on requirements while being smaller and lighter than the competition.
Baseus, another major player, brought two intriguing products. The EnerGeek GX11 MiFi Power Bank 20000mAh 67W not only offers multi-port fast charging (USB-C and USB-A) but doubles as a 4G hotspot for up to 10 devices, all managed via the Baseus app. The EnerGeek GT01 2-in-1 AC adapter with power bank is a 67W, 5-in-1 detachable power strip with a 10,000mAh battery that can be separated from the 27W wall charger. Wireless charging here is capped at 15W, but the power bank’s two USB-C ports can output up to 45W, offering flexibility for users on the move.
While charging solutions stole much of the limelight, IFA 2025 was also a stage for global brands to flex their innovation muscles. TCL, the world’s leading Mini LED and ultra-large TV brand, garnered a slew of prestigious awards. According to a TCL press release, the company secured three wins and two Honoree distinctions at the inaugural IFA Innovation Awards. The TCL NXTPAPER 60 Ultra smartphone, lauded for its advanced eye-care display technology, won "Best in Tech for Good," while the NXTPAPER 11 Plus tablet received Honoree status. The RayNeo X3 Pro took home Honoree for "Best in Emerging Tech" thanks to its AI-powered ecosystem and multimodal interaction. TCL’s Wireless Free Sound Speaker Z100 was crowned "Best of Audio" for its immersive home-theater sound, and the 32R84 QD-Mini LED Monitor won "Best in Computing & Gaming" for its superior visuals and smooth gameplay.
TCL’s trophy haul didn’t stop there. At the Global Product Technology Innovation (GPTI) Awards, the company snagged three Gold Awards: the Premium QD-Mini LED C8K TV won the "ZeroBorder Design Gold Award" for its edge-to-edge viewing experience; the FreshIN 3.0 fresh air conditioner earned the "AI Energy-Saving Technology Gold Award" with energy efficiency up to 37% higher than conventional inverter models; and the SuperDrum Series Washer & Dryer Pair received the "Super Drum Technology Innovation Gold Award" for its unique six Bionic Lifters and wave-patterned drum, which deliver deep yet gentle cleaning while conserving water.
With such a breadth of advances on show, IFA 2025 underscored how the boundaries between smart living, entertainment, and productivity are blurring. From modular chargers and AI-powered appliances to immersive audio and energy-saving innovations, the event highlighted a global push to make technology more seamless, sustainable, and user-friendly. As the doors closed on another record-setting year, one thing was clear: the future of consumer electronics is charging ahead—faster, smarter, and more connected than ever.
