Christine McGuinness Shines In Ibiza After Divorce

The model and TV star embraces new adventures and open family life as she and Paddy McGuinness co-parent their three children under one roof.

Christine McGuinness, the 37-year-old model and television personality, was recently spotted embracing the sun-soaked party scene at Nikki Beach in Ibiza. Over the weekend before October 9, 2025, she posted a lively video to Instagram, giving her followers a glimpse into her vibrant getaway. Sporting a strikingly tiny red bikini paired with a matching red crochet skirt, Christine lounged by the pool, exuding glamour and confidence as she soaked up the rays. Her caption captured the carefree spirit of her trip: "Ibiza days hit different @nikkibeachibiza! music, magic, and memories on repeat - Where the beats are hotter than the sun." She added a playful note about returning to reality, writing, "The only thing missing is me! (back to reality in trackies & school runs) Already planning for next year. @globegettersbychristine."

Christine’s Ibiza adventure comes amid a period of personal transition. She separated from her husband, comedian and former Take Me Out host Paddy McGuinness, in 2022 after thirteen years of marriage. Despite the split, the pair have continued to co-parent their three children—Leo, Penelope, and Felicity—demonstrating a commitment to family that both have spoken about publicly. According to the Daily Star, Christine has been candid about the challenges and rewards of navigating divorce with children, particularly as her twins approach their teenage years.

“Obviously, my twins are 12 now, so we’re having those conversations, and they’ve absolutely blown my mind with how much they understand, and how mature they are,” Christine told the Mail. “It makes me feel very proud of not just how well I’ve done as a mum, but as a family how open we are, and how good we are at communicating with each other, and reassuring the children that everything is ok, and every family is different, and this is our normal.” She emphasized the importance of teaching her children about change and adaptability: “It’s good to teach them that one of the great things about being an adult is that you can change your mind at any time. If one day you are in a relationship, and then you just want to go and be friends [the next day], or you consider yourself just family instead, then that’s ok—you can do that.”

Christine and Paddy’s ability to maintain a united front for their children has extended to their living arrangements. Despite the divorce, the two continue to share a home, with each occupying separate wings to provide stability and consistency for their kids. Paddy, now 52, explained the setup in an interview with Woman’s Own magazine: “We have different wings. I always joke about [that] he is in the West Wing! We completely have our own spaces on the top floor of the house. I’m on the floor with the children, and yeah, it works and works for us as a family because we don’t have to move the children. They’ve got that continuity, and it’s consistent. When they come home from school, they know where they’re going to. They’ve got their own rooms, their clothes, the computers, everything they need is in that house, and it doesn’t matter too much whether it’s mummy at home or daddy at home. With our schedules being all over the place, it doesn’t affect them.”

This arrangement, which might seem unconventional to some, has been praised by both parents for minimizing disruption in their children’s lives. “It’s absolutely fine,” Paddy remarked, describing the co-parenting dynamic as “good, great, all nice and bonny.” As reported by Manchester Evening News, the former couple’s approach reflects a growing trend among separated parents to prioritize their children’s needs above all else, even if it means redefining traditional family roles.

While Christine has been enjoying her newfound independence—evident in her Ibiza escapade and her involvement with the Barratt Redrow Campaign—she’s also been open about the influence Paddy has had on her work ethic. “The way he has gone out and worked is admirable. It’s not easy leaving your children and being away from home. I know sometimes people think going to work is like a day off, and it’s harder to be at home, and yes, it is,” she shared. Christine credits Paddy with inspiring her to “be independent and go for it,” a sentiment that seems to resonate with her recent career pursuits and public appearances.

Paddy, for his part, has made it clear that he has no intention of re-entering the dating scene anytime soon. Following the finalization of their divorce in October 2024, he told Woman’s Own magazine, “No, I’m sort of concentrating fully on work and providing for my kids, like most parents.” He spoke warmly about the joy his children bring him: “I think every parent gets that from their children, and it’s amazing.” Paddy also revealed he has ruled out having more children, citing a vasectomy he had a few years ago. “Hang on a minute, I’m b***** 52, and I’ve got three kids! I can’t now because I had a vasectomy a few years ago. But being a dad is definitely the best thing ever.”

Christine, meanwhile, briefly participated in the latest series of Celebs Go Dating, but ultimately dropped out during filming. She explained that she wasn’t ready to be so open about her dating life, highlighting her focus on personal growth and family over romantic pursuits at this stage. Her decision to step back from the dating spotlight, at least for now, mirrors Paddy’s own reluctance to start dating again.

Their shared commitment to their children and mutual respect has allowed Christine and Paddy to navigate the complexities of modern family life with a sense of pragmatism and grace. As Christine reflected, “It makes me feel very proud of not just how well I’ve done as a mum, but as a family how open we are, and how good we are at communicating with each other.”

For fans and followers, Christine’s sun-drenched Ibiza holiday and candid social media presence serve as a reminder that life after divorce can be vibrant, fulfilling, and, above all, centered on the well-being of family. Both she and Paddy continue to chart their own paths, balancing work, personal growth, and parenting with a sense of humor and resilience that resonates far beyond their celebrity status.

As the McGuinness family adapts to its new normal, their story offers a glimpse into the evolving nature of family, love, and independence in today’s world—a testament to the fact that, sometimes, the most important thing is simply making sure the kids are all right and the music keeps playing, even if it’s just in Ibiza for the weekend.
