BTS, the unstoppable force of K-pop, is back and bigger than ever. After two years of hiatus marked by solo projects and fulfilling South Korea’s mandatory military service, the seven-member supergroup has unveiled plans for what’s being called the most ambitious global K-pop tour in history. Spanning 2026 and 2027, this world tour will see BTS perform 79 shows across 34 markets, reaching fans on nearly every continent and making first-time stops in several cities along the way, according to Variety, NationalWorld, and NME.
The announcement, made just as the group welcomed the new year, has electrified the BTS Army—the group’s fiercely loyal fanbase. The tour kicks off with a trio of concerts in Goyang, South Korea, on April 9, 11, and 12, 2026, at the Goyang Stadium. From there, BTS heads to Tokyo, Japan, for two nights at the Tokyo Dome on April 17 and 18. These opening shows are just the beginning of a global trek that will take the band across North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and Australia.
The North American leg is nothing short of epic. BTS will make stops in 12 cities, including Tampa, El Paso, Mexico City, Stanford, Las Vegas, East Rutherford, Foxborough, Baltimore, Arlington, Toronto, and Chicago. According to Variety, the North American run wraps up with four consecutive performances at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on September 1, 2, 5, and 6, 2026. Notably, fans in Tampa, Florida, will see BTS perform there for the very first time, with back-to-back shows at Raymond James Stadium on April 25 and 26.
Ticketing details are already fueling anticipation. Presale for Army fan club members begins on January 22, 2026, with the exception of the third and fourth Los Angeles shows, which go on presale January 23. The general public can try their luck starting January 24. As NationalWorld reports, the same ticketing schedule applies globally, though venue details for some Latin American, Asian, and Australian dates will be announced later.
After North America, BTS will briefly return to their homeland for two shows in Busan on June 12 and 13, 2026, at the Busan Asiad Stadium. The tour then storms across Europe with stadium dates in Madrid (June 26 and 27 at Riyadh Air Metropolitano), Brussels (July 1 and 2 at King Baudouin Stadium), London (July 6 and 7 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium), Munich (July 11 and 12 at Allianz Arena), and Paris (July 17 and 18 at Stade de France). These multi-night stadium stops, as highlighted by NationalWorld, are a testament to BTS’s global reach and enduring popularity.
Come autumn, the group pivots to Latin America, performing in Bogotá, Colombia (October 2 and 3), Lima, Peru (October 9 and 10), Santiago, Chile (October 16 and 17), Buenos Aires, Argentina (October 23 and 24), and São Paulo, Brazil (October 28, 30, and 31). While venues for these shows are yet to be confirmed, the excitement is palpable, especially since some cities—like Bogotá and Buenos Aires—will host BTS for the first time.
The Asia-Pacific swing is set for late 2026 and early 2027. BTS will bring their high-energy performances to Kaohsiung, Taiwan (November 19, 21, and 22), Bangkok, Thailand (December 3, 5, and 6), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (December 12 and 13), Singapore (December 17, 19, 20, and 22), Jakarta, Indonesia (December 26 and 27), Melbourne, Australia (February 12 and 13, 2027), Sydney, Australia (February 20 and 21), Hong Kong (March 4, 6, and 7), and Manila, Philippines (March 13 and 14). Additional Japanese cities and Middle Eastern markets are expected to be added to the itinerary, according to NME.
What makes this tour particularly special is the 360-degree, in-the-round stage configuration. This innovative design, as detailed by all three sources, aims to create an immersive experience that puts fans at the center of the action and maximizes venue capacity. BTS has always been known for their spectacular stagecraft, but this new setup promises to raise the bar even higher.
The tour announcement coincides with the news that BTS will release their long-awaited new album on March 20, 2026. It marks the group’s first album of all-new material since 2020’s Be. In a message to fans, RM shared, “We’ve waited more earnestly than anyone else.” Jimin added, “The year we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived.” V chimed in, “In 2026, we’ll make even more good memories, so look forward to it!” The group has emphasized that the album will be a collaborative effort, reflecting each member’s thoughts and ideas. “We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started,” they said in an earlier statement. “We’re also planning a world tour alongside the new album. We’ll be visiting fans all around the world, so we hope you’re as excited as we are.”
The build-up to this tour has been years in the making. BTS went on hiatus in 2022, allowing its members—RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook—to explore solo projects and fulfill their military service obligations. Their return to group activities was confirmed last July, when all seven members reunited for the first time since 2022. During a special livestream, the band confirmed rumors of their new album and world tour, with RM noting that they were “working diligently” on their upcoming material.
BTS’s achievements since their debut are staggering. They’ve scored six No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 since 2020 and have set records for South Korean artists in both tour dates and regional reach. The 2026-2027 world tour will see BTS play more shows and visit more regions than any South Korean act before them—a testament to their global influence and the devotion of their fans.
For fans eager to secure tickets, the advice is clear: act fast. With presale and general on-sale dates looming, and demand certain to be sky-high, the BTS Army will need to be ready. As the group prepares to take their new album and groundbreaking stage show around the world, the message from BTS is simple: “Look forward to it!”
The world is set to witness a K-pop phenomenon on a scale never seen before. BTS’s return isn’t just a comeback—it’s a global celebration.
