Apple is once again making waves in the digital fitness world, announcing its largest-ever expansion for Apple Fitness+, the company’s award-winning fitness and wellness service. On December 15, 2025, Fitness+ will roll out to 28 new markets—including the Philippines, Chile, Hong Kong, India, the Netherlands, Singapore, Taiwan, and more—bringing the service’s reach to a grand total of 49 countries and regions worldwide. According to Communications Today, Japan is set to join the Fitness+ family early next year, rounding out this major global push.
For those who haven’t tried it, Apple Fitness+ offers a broad spectrum of guided workouts and meditations, all designed to be as accessible and motivating as possible. Subscribers can pick from 12 different workout types, such as Strength, Yoga, HIIT, Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Kickboxing, and Meditation. Sessions range from a quick five minutes to a more sweat-inducing 45 minutes, and they’re available on iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV. Apple Watch and AirPods Pro 3 users get the added perk of seeing real-time personal metrics—heart rate, calories burned, and progress on Activity rings—displayed right on their screens, keeping motivation high and progress transparent, as detailed by Technobaboy.
One of the most significant updates in this expansion is the introduction of digitally dubbed workouts and meditations. Starting December 15, hundreds of Fitness+ sessions will be available in Spanish and German, thanks to generated voices modeled after the original trainers’ recordings. Japanese dubbing is set to follow in 2026, coinciding with the service’s launch in Japan. This move aims to make the platform more welcoming and accessible for users around the globe. Each week, new dubbed episodes will be added, and users can select their preferred language in the audio controller or by adjusting their Fitness app settings. If a user chooses Spanish, German, or Japanese as their default, the app will automatically play dubbed episodes when available.
Jay Blahnik, Apple’s vice president of Fitness Technologies, expressed excitement about the expansion: “Through its seamless integration across Apple devices, Fitness+ has helped inspire users to live a healthier day. From seeing real-time, personal metrics right onscreen with Apple Watch or AirPods Pro 3, to the ability to bring the service with you wherever you go on iPhone or iPad, we’re delivering unmatched motivation to users. We couldn’t be more excited to bring this experience to even more users around the globe with our biggest expansion yet.”
But that’s not all. Apple is also turning up the volume—literally—by introducing a new K-Pop music genre to the Fitness+ library. Now, users can break a sweat to global K-Pop hits across all workout types. This addition joins a roster of popular music genres such as Upbeat Anthems, Latest Hits, Hip-Hop/R&B, and Latin Grooves. The Artist Spotlight series, which dedicates entire workout playlists to a single artist, continues to feature some of the world’s biggest stars, including Taylor Swift, BTS, Beyoncé, Selena Gomez, Coldplay, and more. These music-driven workouts are designed to keep users energized and engaged, whether they’re cycling, dancing, or powering through a HIIT session.
Another standout feature is the Custom Plans tool. Fitness+ can automatically create a personalized workout and meditation schedule based on each user’s preferred activities, session durations, favorite trainers, music tastes, and more. For those who like a little structure, the Stay Consistent option offers a premade schedule, while Push Further lets ambitious users add more workout time or extra sessions to their routines. Newcomers to the service can use Get Started, a ready-made plan based on their selected or popular activities.
Motivation is at the heart of Fitness+, and Apple has packed the service with ways to keep users moving. The Time to Walk feature, for example, lets subscribers listen to stories, music, and reflections from notable personalities like Cynthia Erivo, Daddy Yankee, Naomi Campbell, Camila Cabello, Simu Liu, Shawn Mendes, and Jane Fonda—while out on a stroll. The latest episode, featuring Formula 1 driver Yuki Tsunoda, is available now. Meanwhile, Collections offer curated series of workouts and meditations, each tailored to help users reach specific goals or explore new interests. Examples include Run Your First 5K, Pilates for More Than Your Core, No Shoes Workouts, and So Fresh! 90s Dance.
For those seeking mindfulness, Fitness+ provides 12 unique meditation themes, such as Calm, Sleep, and Sound. Each meditation is crafted to help users recharge, connect with themselves and others, and cultivate more mindful moments throughout the day. These guided meditations are accessible and easy to follow, making them a valuable tool for both beginners and seasoned practitioners.
Pricing for Apple Fitness+ remains consistent with its U.S. launch: $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year, with the option to share a subscription with up to five family members. New Apple device buyers—including those picking up an Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, AirPods Pro 3, or Powerbeats Pro 2—will receive three months of Fitness+ at no extra cost. The service requires an iPhone 8 or later running iOS 16.1 or later, or an Apple Watch Series 3 or later paired with an iPhone 6s or later using iOS 14.3 or later. For dubbed episodes, users will need iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, or tvOS 26.1.
Currently, Fitness+ is available in 21 countries, but with this expansion, the list grows to include Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Finland, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, the Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Philippines, Poland, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, Venezuela, and Vietnam. As mentioned, Japan is set to join early next year.
While the U.S. pricing is confirmed, local pricing for some new markets, such as the Philippines, has yet to be announced. Still, the ability to share subscriptions with family and the three-month free trial for new device owners make the service an attractive proposition for many households.
Apple’s approach with Fitness+ is all about inclusivity, motivation, and seamless integration with its ecosystem. By expanding to new markets and offering dubbed content, the company is making a clear statement: fitness and wellness should be accessible to everyone, everywhere. The addition of K-Pop and the Artist Spotlight series ensures that users stay entertained and energized, while features like Custom Plans and Time to Walk keep routines fresh and engaging.
As Apple Fitness+ prepares to launch in 28 new markets this December, users around the world are about to discover a more personalized, motivating, and musically vibrant way to stay active and mindful—right from their Apple devices.
